The chart shows a "harm score", made up of 16 criteria, not total deaths. I haven't pulled the full article for what the 16 criteria were, but a little more detail is in the abstract on the Lancet where it was originally published https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6... .
