Old versions didn't enable fractional scrolling by default. On Debian 9 XFCE, GTK3 apps and chromium both had it baked in. Fractional scrolling is what lets you move just a pixel at a time with your trackpoint or trackpad scrolling. Maybe it has been patched since then, but at the time firefox needed a tweak. Afterwards trackpoint scrolling felt more precise than my W10 thinkpads. |
