No worries. The STT was first imposed in 1909. They started rebating it at 100% in the 80s. They didn't have the political power to outright abolish it. What should happen now is that rebate should be removed. The STT is a 0.5% sales tax on the value of stock trades, 0.1% on debt and 0.005% on derivatives. |
