Agreed. In another part the dissent says: "The Copyright Act protects code that operates “in a computer in order to bring about a certain result” both “directly” (implementing code) and “indirectly” (declaring code)." But a program that only declares functions never brings about a result. Declaring code is just the recipe for how to invoke implementing code. |
