This is a war and the public is losing. On hand is the technocracy + the established politicians and the other hand are the citizens. They want (and sadly they are being successful) to transform Internet and the software industry in general in a walled-garden, corporate-friendly,sanitized, heavily controlled world, where the things allowed to be discussed are those deemed inconsequential for the people in power and anything challenging the status-quo or even just plain marginal or weird (in any fashion that the people in power do not like) will be at best totally marginalized and at worst outright censored.Our "free world" will be a bland, we-are-all-the-same,walking-on-eggshells, boring,unoriginal dystopia.
