HN has a strong bias in the same direction as Malcolm Gladwell and the "well ackchually"s of the Internet. This constant search for a counterintuitive result or explanation means that most comments on things just end up with a massive contrarian bias. This makes sense. After all, no one is writing "oh cool" and no one is upvoting that. |
