Lots of talk here in the comments about supply and demand, cool, I get it. But how about we worry about that after everyone has access to a stable shelter that they can live in. Housing should be a human right, nobody deserves to live on the streets or have to fork over all their money in order to be housed and have to worry about putting food on the table. The obsession with investments, wealth, and power is leading to people suffering. So how about we stop obsessing about investments, wealth, and power until everyone can live their life with dignity and not have to worry if they'll have to sleep in the gutter or not.
