You can't minimize the role of the producer/promoter. Someone has to manage the business and financing aspects of signing up the venue. RoadPony should also provide this service and enable venues to sign up and possibly promote the show. You've got to take tickets, provide security, housekeeping, etc. It's actually a key element in automating this approach to live music. Bands that can do a one night show can fill in gaps in venue calendars. |
