i believe it's not common to use css color names. i wish more colors were defined and people used them more though. it provides a very consistent color re-use. the best example i can think of is this fire demo on codepen, which i bookmarked because i really liked the color names: https://codepen.io/jscottsmith/pen/dwZjWK |
