I’m not going to miss them They will mostly disappear from cars, and (more slowly) even trucks, but they are still going to be around for a lot longer in other applications – backup generators, heavy construction and mining equipment, the military, locomotives, smaller aircraft, ships and boats, etc. We may well start to lose some knowledge about how to design ICEs optimised for specific use cases, we aren't anywhere near forgetting how to design ICEs in the general case. |
