I hope the same doesn't happen to NetBSD noticeably but also the other BSDs in general.

What advantages does NetBSD have that distinguish it from other BSDs and other existing OS options?

I read the GP comment as feeling that NetBSD was more vulnerable to developers losing interest in it.
