Hi,

I'm your target audience having recently launched https://nocommandline.com/ and just created a new Twitter account.

1) I went to your home page. The text is clear and I think - Yes, I want to do all of those things.

2) I click on the demo and it takes me to an Analytics dashboard but I don't see how the dashboard helps me do any of the things you have listed on your landing page. IMHO, showing me data is not enough (I don't even understand the graphs). What is useful is being told

  - this graph shows you are doing poorly in this area so do A, B, C to improve

  - this graph shows ABC so do X,Y,Z to capitalize on it

  - this is the meaning of this graph with respect to this goal (one of the goals on the landing page). You need to do ABC to meet that goal or do better
3) I went to your twitter handle and there's a thread I'm supposed to follow to learn how to grow my audience. First, I got lost in the thread (there were multiple sub-threads) and I think that kind of information is also good as a blog post (you can still do your twitter thread but post a link to a blog post so folks like me who prefer a post can read and digest it).

4) Minor thing/nit-pick - I assume English is not your first Language(forgive me if I'm wrong). The first thing is to launch (which you have done). You should then follow up by having someone to clean up the text and get the grammar and tense right (especially in the tweets).

Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply and your good wishes!

1. It's good to hear that the landing site resonates with you.

2. That is terrific advice, I know that is a weakness of the product and until now, I had no clear way of how to convey the information in each chart.

3. I also agree that data is not enough, but before coding an explanation I want to make sure the information is well versed. Maybe a multi-Twitter thread is not the best idea. I like that it gives the option for readers but it may be confusing.

Maybe redirecting to a Twitter thread might be a good idea for each chart. That's easy to implement, and useful for the reader :)

4. Thanks for pointing this out, I'll pay extra care to it.

A couple of other thoughts, I do want to create the experience that you are looking. Some of my ideas include:

A. Providing a weekly summary with personalized information, for new users and customers.

B. Aggregate stats so you can benchmark yourself in regards to other users.

Again thanks for your comment and best of luck as well with your project!

Regarding your suggestions for #4, personally

a) I'm not a fan of those weekly summary things. It tends to become routine and will probably sit unread or something, unless of course it has a lot of quality information that I start looking forward to it.

b) At the end of the day, I would still prefer specific instructions like

i) your target audience tends to read their tweets between the hours of X & Z, so do your tweets then

ii) these are the leaders/influencers in your segment so you should target them (I think a great selling point for your product if you can do it, is identifying the influencers in a user's target)

iii) these are top/trending hashtags in your target audience. Do you have anything that can fit into it? If so, then tweet using that hashtag

That's great advice, that information might be better during onboarding (2-4 reports), and ocassionally when there is something relevant to share (like when you had a great week).

The idea of mapping influencers & hashtags, is interesting.

That will be a project on itself. Thanks for the great input.

So maybe in your case something like:

Potential accounts to engage with: https://twitter.com/GoogleStartups https://twitter.com/kevgibbs (tech lead of Google App Engine)

Potential hashtags to produce content: #100DaysOfCode (used by aspriing Software Engineers) #NoCode

Recommended Keywords to search new accounts: Google App Engine

Hi HN,

I'm Santiago, I've worked on many side projects in the past and always stumbled on getting distribution for them. Last year I stumbled on Twitter and found it is a great platform to share ideas and connect with people.

As I was getting more involved with Twitter I could not found a methodology to follow for "connecting with the people I care" and getting more distribution for my projects.

As an ML engineer I find that best decisions are backed by data, I also found the native Twitter Analytics valuable yet insufficient for a growing my audience.

I implemented a cutsom Analytics Dashboard to have the data I need on a daily basis. Hopefully this launch get us some momentum prior to our YC application, we hope to receive nice feedback and maybe connect with persons that have a similar problem.

I mostly excited about the potential application of analyzing tweets with NLP, I implemented a real-time Sentiment Analyzis that helps predict the expected engagement and the Tweet's ton. The next step will be clustering the tweets by topic using word-embeddings. The feature is powered by TensorflowJS and I made a rough vide about the code: https://youtu.be/YOVGnAk1vQk.

To celebrate our launch we have prepared a Hacker News deal with a 1-full year subscription discount for $25:: https://gumroad.com/l/socialQ/hacker_news ,ideally we can find early users that want to have a high input in the product. The Demo Dashboard is powered by my own Analytics, you can also connect your Twitter account for free. However, we do plan to limit the amount of features for the free users in the future.

Finally, we have prepared a guide detailing how to grow on Twitter using the Dashboard: https://twitter.com/SocialQ_HQ/status/1370463868972109824

You can connect with me via Twitter: https://twitter.com/SocialQui

Cheers!
