Poor children are malnourished, they don't get good medical care, violent household, violent environment, living in streets, many are in orphanages where they are exploited. It's clear that many children are poor even before they are born, as the mother needs nutrients and medical care etc to have a healthy child. All of these problems are outright eliminated for lots of kids of wealthy parents.
