Vim is my go-to terminal-based text editor, and I used it for a decent amount of time, but when I finally decided to switch to something like Sublime Text, I never felt the need to go back. Maybe it's because I'm not a "touch typist" who uses a home row and all that stuff, so the keybindings optimized for that don't really help me that much. I do like Vim though, and it's an insanely useful skill to have because I can SSH into any server and edit config files like if I were straight up programming. |
