The TV Licencing system in Britain is quite widely publicized, but it isn't unique. See: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Television_li... For example, France, Germany and Japan all have a flat rate licence fee to pay for their national broadcasters. Greece goes one step further and includes a surcharge on domestic electricity bills for this purpose. |
