The absolute worst is when interviewers keep interrupting the candidate. It shows a complete lack of empathy and it shows that the interviewer wants the interviewee to answer the way the interviewer thinks it should be answered. I am very mindful of this when I interview and I think it’s my job as the interviewer to strain myself to try to understand the interviewee, not the other way around. I quietly try to understand my interviewee and don’t interrupt unless there’s a real reason since I want her to think freely and not feel stressed. |
