The word 'buddy' is considered unprofessional for me and some persons I know, maybe a lot of people even who are not English native speakers. It triggers the feeling of 'this might be a phishing site'.
We already have some popular sites using buddy in their domain. ex: ebuddy.com. So I don't think that will impact user adoption. I'll get feedback from other users about the domain.
