My sincere thanks to you and to the others in this thread for taking the time to respond to my question about the applicability of category theory elsewhere in mathematics. I learned a lot from all of your comments. I will retire in two years, after I turn sixty-five. I’ve started to ask myself if that will be too late for me to try to study pure mathematics again. |
