You make a convincing argument, how can we conscionably blame these people for wanting to feather their nest, considering the pittance the public pays them?

Now replace politicians with police, and corporate interests with criminal interests (I'd wager they're equally as damaging), perhaps we have people with the wrong ideals in these positions?
