Exactly. My son's school has been using Facebook for most communications. I discussed it with their IT person - they said it was mostly a trade-off between security, privacy, usability, and cost. Most parents didn't care much about privacy, so Facebook won. It's frustrating for those of us that do care about privacy, but I can see why it's such a difficult decision. |
