Since you can’t use addons with Firefox mobile, how is the browser compared to brave or safari for privacy and ad blocking?

Firefox on Android works with uBlock, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, NoScript, HTTPS Everywhere, etc. On iOS, you're stuck with Safari on at least some level anyway, so may as well stick with Safari.

This, and AFAIK they're still implementing the rest of the API so that all add-ons will be supported (on Android).

Firefox nightly has a limited addon system. Ublock for example works.

it's in stable now too. noscript is a lifesaver on low-end phones.

For mobile, I recommend Blokada. I recommend using the v4 due to being more stable and resource efficient.
