I have no comment on whether Europe needs to be more like Silicon Valley, but my gut feeling is that it doesn't. That being said, Europe isn't nearly as friendly to failure as the US is. Bankruptcy laws in the EU are waaaaaay more onerous than they are in the US. The question of whether this is a chicken and egg problem WRT European culture is up for debate. tl;dr: Cultures are different. News at 11. |
