I'm not the person who asked, but I think their point would be that "being fruitful, multiplying, and dominating" are just natural human tendencies which religion was aiming to justify and did not create. I mean, we know of a lot of domination and exploitation that happened before judeo-christian religions had come into place, or that happened in places free of their influence. The Bantu peoples massacring most of the population of the southern half of Africa comes to mind. |
