Dan Held has a pretty good thread on twitter that goes over the Bitcoin energy argument pretty well (imho)... https://twitter.com/danheld/status/1351235080103096331 Disclosure: very large eth miner, using hydro electricity that would have otherwise gone to waste. Generated power is very expensive to transmit. I prefer gpus to asics because at least ethash is constrained to a more widely available piece of re-useable hardware and doesn't require the latest release in order to have the best roi. |
