I’d get an 8 inch. I ended up getting a 6 inch, and it’s nice, but i kind of wish I got an 8 inch. Don’t get me wrong, the 6 inch is nice, but I think an 8 inch would be a bit better. I got a Celestron reflector with an electric mount. Aligning it is a bit of a pain, and you absolutely need full batteries to keep tracking, but it’s a requirement if you’re looking to take photos. One other thing, it seems most astrophotography software is Windows only, so ymmv |
