Composing Music
1 points by ikoomt 1948 days ago
Hi, I am learning my way into music theory with http://openmusictheory.com/ and now I am struggling to decide what I should use to generate what I learned. Code music feels something; how Csound vs. Supercollider discussion goes for some artist trying to compose? Am I better off with something like LMMS? More I can dig and learn, the better. Since I want to stick with a tool for a long time, being complex at the beginning does not bother me much.

My direction goes into developing a free game and living for some time inside a car. A low power usage when I am not connected to a power outlet feels something but I do not know how far energy usage goes in text code music vs. a daw

Take a look at Orca - https://100r.co/site/orca.html
I read about this one too. But this one is focused on live, I think I am more into composing rather than live playing, however it opened my mind, since I will be traveling, yet I do not understand how much scenery change affects the creative process.
