Has anyone seen research linking dream content to the causes of the dream? What I'm imagining is dream journals like the ones on the website, accompanied by things that are happening in the patient's life that might explain the dream. E.g.
Dream: I saw my mom and gave her a hug. Posited cause: I've been thinking about my mom a lot recently because her birthday was last week and I really miss her. (edited for formatting) |
