Ask HN: What are good online communities for (digital) health tech founders?
3 points by hirokib 1945 days ago
Hey all, I've found many communities online for health tech and others for entrepreneurship and founders but none at the intersection. Healthcare is a very complex beast and massive market where collaboration better serves founders than fearing competition. Does anyone have any suggestions for digital health founder communities?

There are a few that I have listed on my website at https://franciswong.com/digital-health although since COVID some have been less active. Take a look at Docs and Hackers, UCSF Health Hub and Stanford's Center for Digital Health. Reach out if there's anything I can do to help!
These communities are much higher touch than I was imagining but would love to engage more deeply and pick your brain!
Hey thanks. I'll definitely check them out!
Anything but Clubhouse ;)
Haha. I was thinking more of a textual thing. I suppose I haven't used Clubhouse for anything other than panel talks but it didn't strike me as the appropriate medium.
Hmm, I'd recommend looking into finding a mailing list or potentially looking into virtual working groups at MIT or Harvard's biotech centric I-Lab.

I only made this cheeky comment since I'm tired of associates telling me I "have to check out clubhouse for startup networking". IME it's just packed with low-info ppl talking about crypto and startup rooms just balloon with armchair "VC's" and wantraprenuers (as much as I hate using that word, I mean folks who just want to make a quick buck and have no real-world startup exp).

When covid-fatigue subsides I definitely cannot recommend relocating to the Boston / Cambridge area enough.
