That sounds like the trite old University Professor that says to 4/5ths of their students that didnt get an A: "You lack the passion and maybe you are not made for this".

@murukesh_s post wrote the retourt to that. Pointers and Windows had a substantial impact on shaping the reality we live in now. Putting all the responsibillity on the users shoulders and their "intelligence in math" is way to ego focused IMO.

Read it again. What I wrote is that accountants are smart. They already know how to deal with numbers ad variables, and control flows are trivial to learn in something like VBA. If they don't do it it's because they don't want to, and no amount of forceful simplicity will change that. In fact, visual programming often frustrates them more than it empowers them.

murukesh_s is obviously invested in this, so he's hardly an impartial observer, whereas I don't really care one way or the other and am just relying the experience of somebody helping users with these tools.
