surely the big picture for "trust the science" is not "science is always right" (as the writer notes,) but that the PROCESS of testing and revising scientific theories can be trusted. As sabine hossenfelder says.. science doesn't tell you not to pee on electric fences, it just points out that urine is a decent conductor of electricity... (or words to that effect) I trust the "best available science"... as a rule. (YMMV) |
