| Hi!
Nine months ago, I posted here a post:

An update on our journey so far. The Problem:
Which feature to build next? How to prioritize one over another? Your customers will tell. The Solution:
ProdCamp is a multi-channel customer feedback management platform.
Collect feedback
Collect feedback from channels like Email forward, Public roadmap, embeddable feedback form, Chrome extension, API.
Analyze
Analyze feedback and connect it to features in ProdCamp. Use insights to better describe features.
Prioritize and act
Decide what to build next based on the number of votes, effort estimation, and $ amount from SalesForce.
Then push it to Jira.
Close the feedback loop
Keep customers notified of feature updates and when it's shipped.
Alternatively, publish your roadmap, collect upvotes, let customers see what's in the works and what was released. The Result:
Get higher customer engagement, satisfaction, customer retention, and revenue. THE UPDATE:
Right after we posted here, we've got a bit over 300 signups. We've conducted several dozens of customer interview calls (many sleepless nights due to the time difference). Tons of emails. We learned a lot. One of the first things we learned was that we very much overpromised what the solution was back then. What could we have done better?
Marketing:
Build an audience long before.
We should have thought about marketing in advance. I had literally to learn its basics on the go.
Produced quality content earlier.
Factored in buying intent sooner.
Product:
Started earlier.
Started smaller. Thanks to the early feedback we've received from a person from one search service. Though, we've built a minimum of what I needed at my main job. It's been fun!
Thank you to Hacker News and its incredible community for the feedback, support, and constructive criticism. And, of course, your feedback is very much welcome and appreciated. |
