This is one of the reasons why I don't buy digital assets. And when I buy them I ensure they are not tied to automated faceless recovery mechanisms. I use google photos, and I will have to pay for it starting june, but I keep offline backups. Of course, I pay for non-critical from big tech like Spotify which I don't care if I suddenly lose my account tomorrow. |
