I think Cloudflare is fine in most of the cases. Putting title "Never use Cloudflare free plan" with so weak arguments in the blog post is too much.

There's been a spate of "never" or "always" posts getting on the front page in recent days.
Polarization ticks something off in our brains, especially if it's negative and conform with your pre-existing views on a particular subject.

I guess HN users might have caught up to the rest of the internet on how to get clicks.

It's not a recent phenomenon.

The graphs containing 503 errors to two different sites which were both resolved by paying seem to indicate his case is strong.
If that's our standard of evidence then I've resolved bugs by getting a coffee and doing nothing else. :)

Bug resolved. Reason: not enough coffee.

Seriously these systems are complicated and it's easy to confuse correlation for causality.
