No mention of content blockers that stop ad network requests from even going out in the first place... I was under the impression that content blockers could even speed up page loads.

At least uBlock Origin and probably most of the other adblockers on this list meet this standard. It's illustrated by the network requests / page weight figure here: https://www.debugbear.com/blog/2020-chrome-extension-perform... .
The news article in the test loaded 3 times as fast with the slowest adblocker than with no adblocker, and 19 times as fast with the fastest adblocker.
That metric alone.. If you work with any large organisation, this is enough to justify install-as-standard.

Just need someone to verify/"Enterprisify" the uBlock Origin addon (throw some money at them, charge $X per enterprise for email support, hire a rep).
