Pakistan is as much a democracy as Bhutan or China. Every (I do not exaggerate, you can actually check, since 1970) ex-leader of Pakistan was either assassinated, imprisoned or in exile. Pakistan is military state, with the thinnest facade of democracy. The only people who are allowed to run are those who are already endorsed by the military. |
