That's basically the premise of the Oculus Quest, and my experience with virtual offices there are extremely mixed. I don't even find any of the apps to be particularly bad, but the inconvenience of using VR as a user shell becomes apparent very quickly. Small gestures that used to be a centimeter of movement are abstracted into larger, easier to read gestures that just tire you out. With that being said, I still found a few "professional" uses for it: I was particularly impressed by how easy it was to load up a Blender project and step inside of it. |
