| Lots of good advice in this thread. For me: Most mornings I wake up and feel reasonably ok. I've had much darker periods in my past and think I'm in a pretty good place these days. I try not to check my phone right away and instead read or write a bit as the day gets started. At least two walks outside in the sun with music or a podcast or silence. Meditate every day. Work out or run daily. Try to eat reasonably clean, lots of veggies and fruit. Journaling a few times a week. Therapy twice a month, mostly focused on relationship stuff. Time every day to focus on myself, my hobbies, my friends, good music, drawing, writing, reading. No notifications on my phone while I'm trying to focus. Clear communication with my team around deliverables, dates, and issues. On the philosophical front, reading Alan Watts' Wisdom of Insecurity helped a lot. |
