It should really just have been 3.0 for 5gbit/s, 3.1 for 10gbit/s and 3.2 for 20gbit/s - nothing hard to understand, same deal as usb 1 and 2 beforehand

That's how I still refer to them in my head.

I'm still baffled why they didn't do that.
