Launch HN: TermScout – Algo-based software contract ratings
3 points by DLTarasi 1964 days ago
Hi HN!

Today we're launching TermScout (https://termscout.com), a software contract rating platform. We developed a contract abstraction and scoring algorithm that enables apples-to-apples comparisons of software contracts. Our initial database has 150 public contracts. These are typically the click-through customer agreements for cloud and SaaS providers that many of you likely regularly sign. Think AWS, Salesforce, Snowflake, Looker, etc.

You can search for contracts that you plan to sign (or have already signed) and use our free high level ratings as a gut check before signing something that you may not have time to read. If you work at one of companies in our database, you can use our contract ratings and comparisons to help accelerate the sales cycle, especially if your contract outperforms your competitors. You can purchase more detailed analysis of a contract or become a paid subscriber for unlimited access to all of our contract data.

The easiest way to get started is to head to our site (https://termscout.com) and start searching for software companies. We've got full sample reports (https://termscout.com/samples/aws) that you can view to get a sense of the level of detail we provide to paid users. We've also got a promotion code for HN (ScoutHacker25) which you can apply at checkout for 25% off.

We'd love to hear any thoughts or feedback.
