This is so great! Still using my one plus 6T and not up for a change yet. Battery life is still good and the performance is more then sufficient. Now, the afterlife seems to be predestined, too.
I'm not sure if that's just the spin of the article, but isn't it odd that the fate of the device just depends on a single volunteer spending his time on making it usable? It seems surreal how fragile the phone OS ecosystem is. It wouldn't even be a big burden for the producers to, say, dedicate 1-2 staff days/month to this effort. Instead we all buy devices that expect to be bricked after 3 years unless volunteers step up.
