Dunno how they're doing it. Thinking aloud, it's not the easiest thing to calculate. You can can short a stock and acquire it right after without closing the two net-zero positions. Why? To mess with short interest calculations. You do lose trading fees and spreads whenever you do it. Then you have all of the options going around. |
