This is nowhere close to the worlds most famous teapot; it's not even in the top 10 of the most expensive ever sold and its price estimate of "six figures" wouldn't put it in the top 50 sold or the top 100 of known private collections. For example, any Gu Jingzhou Yixing teapot is _easily_ worth ~$1MM USD, and certain pots have sold for $2M. |
