I know I'm just one data point, but I've been turning down recent Google attempts to hire me precisely because of situations like this. And no, I don't mean just "Hey, we have a few openings, want to interview?", but specific requests because of my skillset. If you would have told me 5 years ago that today I would hold this opinion of Google, I would have laughed in your face. Today, Google is in the same tier as Facebook, my never companies. |
