Are you annoyed that he's being negative, or because he didn't back it up with a reason? Because I've done development both for embedded arm microcontrollers and CUDA. ARM feels like a benevolent overlord that wants to help you. Documentation is open, compilers are easily accessible, there's lots of random blogs with best practices on how to do common operations. Nvidia feels like their entire goal is to extract as much money out of you as they can. I'm not hoping ARM fails. I'm hoping the sale fails, because if the sale succeeds, ARM will fail. |
