I think the "swiss made" plays onto two ideas in this context: on the one side, Switzerland having a very advanced industry when it comes to precision technology / on the other side Switzerland being a neutral country of high diplomatic esteem. But both of those tropes might very well be a little stuck in the last century imho. |
