It's not surprising because IPv6 completely ignored transition planning: https://cr.yp.to/djbdns/ipv6mess.html Twenty years later, it still hasn't displaced IPv4. IPv6 was designed by a bunch of telephone-company guys who were used to Ma Bell being able to declare a flag day. That doesn't scale up to the Internet, and we're all suffering for their failure to understand backward compatibility. |
