There's the correct answer. You're seeing the fruits of 70+ years of conservatives telling their audience "Everything sucks now, and everything will suck more in the future, and those people over there are to blame for all of it". This is the reason you're seeing so many educated, affluent people among those who stormed the Capitol - they're just really, REALLY pissed off. |
