Is it just my impression that pretty much all sites except youtube/fb/twitter have difficulties with video?

A lot of times video struggles to start, buffers for a long time, stutters, .... I'm not talking about small blogs, but about sites like CNN, WaPo, ...

It has to do with not having edge nodes. In theory, Cloudflare is in a good position to address this disparity…
My team agrees with you :)

Happy to take any critique y'all may have.

hello, can your service handle live streams (HLS/DASH) or is it just for static streams? many thanks
Stream currently supports VOD delivered over HLS/DASH. We'd like to explore live in the future.
You skipped the most popular video serving platforms - pr0n companies. Also no problems there, everything works smoothly.
Yes. Not only that but fast forward, backwards, skipping. Crash with Javascript. High CPU loading because some other JS is messing with the Video in a way that shouldn't be. etc etc.

Someone on HN asked me what's wrong with HTML5 video. I forgot to reply as I was gathering examples and informations.

News sites are notoriously resource-heavy. Small blogs have no issue with embedded <video> tag videos.
