One thing that bothers me: Why is "No GitHub" wrong?

I have absolutely nothing on a public GitHub. Does that make me a worse software engineer?

A better way to phrase it would be "if you have an active GH profile, share it". The benefits seem obvious to me, at a glance, one can:

* See what your interests are.

* See what the general quality of your code is.

* See how you interact with other devs.

* Potentially see how you write issues and/or deal with PRs etc.

Phil, you are 100% correct. If you have an active github profile, please share it, is exactly right.
