Sounds like your company should hire people from different time zones and have the on-call follow the daylight so that teams can fulfill that responsibility during normal work hours, especially when expected response time is in single digit territory and on-call isn’t paid extra. But overall it sounds like the company for which you work is a complete joke who doesn’t care about employee health and you should leave them asap. Good luck!
